Privacy policy
Last updated 31 July 2026. This site has no accounts, no logins and no advertising network, which makes this document shorter than most.
Who we are
UK Chip Trail publishes ukchiptrail.com, an independent comparison site covering casino brands licensed in Great Britain. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@ukchiptrail.com.
What we collect
Nothing you don't hand over. There's no registration, no profile and no newsletter sign-up on this site. Specifically:
- Messages you send us. The contact form opens your own email client, so a message reaches us as ordinary email containing whatever you chose to write — typically a name, an email address and the content of the message.
- Standard server records. Our hosting provider records technical information for every request: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page and browser details. These are used to keep the site available and secure, and to spot abuse.
- Your cookie choice. Stored in your browser's local storage on your own device so the notice doesn't reappear. It never reaches our servers.
We don't run advertising pixels, behavioural tracking or profiling, and we don't attempt to identify individual visitors.
Why we're allowed to hold it
Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests: replying to correspondence, keeping the site online and protecting it from misuse. Where a message you send contains anything sensitive, we treat it as confidential and delete it once the exchange is finished.
Who else is involved
- Hosting. The site is served by a third-party hosting platform, which processes the server records described above on our behalf.
- Web fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers and your IP address is visible to them as part of that request.
- Operators you click through to. Once you follow an outbound link, you're on someone else's site under their privacy policy. We receive no personal data back from them — only aggregate commercial reporting that doesn't identify individuals.
We don't sell data, share it for marketing, or pass it to anyone beyond the providers above.
How long it's kept
Email correspondence is kept while it's useful and generally deleted within twelve months. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider on a short rolling window. Your cookie preference stays on your device until you clear your browser storage.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing, or ask us to restrict it. Write to privacy@ukchiptrail.com and we'll respond within one month. Given how little is collected, most requests are answered quickly.
If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be summarised on this page rather than slipped in quietly.
